Living My Life On The Rails …
Allan Caswell and Lindsay Waddington
Allan Caswell and Lindsay Waddington continue their adventure through all the different flavours of classic country music. For their new single Living My Life On the Rails, Cas and Waddo teamed up with highly respected bush poet, entertainer and much-loved character Mark Bushie Thompson to create a song that is Bushie. His lifetime love of train travel and all things Australian was carefully crafted by Cas, Waddo and Bushie into a classic, story driven train song. "When Waddo and I write story songs we try to make everything completely authentic … writing Living My Life On The Rails was easy … we had Bushie to contribute ideas, and he had spent his whole life living it." Produced by Waddo at his LWM House Studio and featuring some of country music’s top shelf musicians Living My Life On The Rails is classic country music that, at the same time, has a really contemporary sound to it. Cas’s story teller vocal delivery brings Bushie’s story to life. Cas and Waddo’s songwriting partnership started in 2021 and has produced dozens of top-quality songs, 3 Lynchburg albums, several top 10 chart recordings, work on each other’s solo projects and songs recorded by a number of other artists. Living My Life On The Rails is the follow up single to the top 10 single 12 Good Men. Cas and Waddo sit comfortably at the traditional end of country music … they are working on a Bluegrass album as well as a number of other projects. Real songs, real musicians and definitely no AI. Living My Life On The Rails is a fiercely Australian song about a very proud Australian.

Cameron Cusack
A Song From The Heart
Following his performance and recording tour of Nashville, Cameron Cusack is currently on a six month tour of the Cape York Peninsular. Known for writing songs of depth from his personal life, the last being "Postcards" for his daughter, his latest release 'She Gets Me" couldn't be any more so.Cameron tells the story: “She Gets Me” was written the day prior to my wedding as a wedding gift for my wife, to be sung at the reception. It was supposed to be something short, sweet and to the point but has turned into something much bigger than expected. The first verse was about how we met, at Bramwell Station in remote Cape York in Far Northern Queensland. After going through some real hard times that put a slight pause to my music career, I decided to put together a National Tour that took me to all parts of the country in 2022.I hopped off the mail plane on a gravel bush airstrip into the outdoor dining and entertainment area where I’d be singing for the next two weeks. Then I met my future wife who welcomed me. Amazing to not know at that point the life we’d then have together. “Town to town, show to show, life ain’t just been one hell of a road, In these boots I stumbled in, with these strings I stumbled on, led me right into your world that put me right into your arms”. This was a metaphor for how my life was prior to meeting my wife Caroline. Now the rest is history.I recorded this song with Caleb and Michael Flanders in Nashville Tennessee, performing it across the world to now releasing the track on our first wedding anniversary. “She Gets Me” is a special song to me. Simple and to the point.
Hot Instrumental from Guitar Genius
Phil Doublet
Best known in Australia as the incredible musician behind Luke O'Shea each year at the Tamworth Festival and a prominent artist in the New Zealand Showcase, Phil Doublet (Pron: Do-Blay) is a favourite at those shows every year. A former Golden Guitar nominee for Instrumental of the Year and a dual winner for a Golden Guitar with Luke O'Shea, his talent is abounding as both a musician and as a singer/song writer.Time has come for another amazing piece from Phil. His love for Australia is as deep as that for his home country and this track and the accompanying video leave no doubt of that.
Phil says: “Wild Heart” came to life after watching a documentary about Kosciuszko National Park. I was drawn in by the raw freedom of the brumbies roaming wild across the plains and around Mount Kosciuszko. There was something powerful in their untamed spirit—the way they moved, completely unbound. That feeling stuck with me. So I picked up my acoustic guitar, let that energy flow, and the tune just started to take shape

Long Awaited Single from Chantell Alexi
It's been some time since we heard from Chantell Alexi. Since moving to Nundle from Sydney she has had a lot on her plate settling into her new home and marriage and working on her other artistic attribute as a successful and highly talented artist. That being said, she is now back in the musical saddle with a self penned song.Chantell explains: "I wrote this song in 2024. It was intended to be a tongue in cheek critique on modern society and the shortage of masculine men within it, as well as the more serious issue of lowered testosterone due to health issues in society. I wanted to have fun with it though as someone who is neither left nor right and has an open mind and love for all people in whatever feminine or masculine roles they wish to partake in. However, at the end of the day we all have our type and mine is the 'chivalrous Masculine type'. So here is my fun 'Country Rock' song with a nostalgic feel for the old western film genre. Written by Chantell Alexi and produced by the brilliantly talented Lawrie Minson. I brought the song to Lawrie in late 2025 and we had a chat about how I wanted it to sound with a full band. Leaving it in his very capable hands proved to be a great idea as he did an awesome job of bringing it to life and giving it the perfect western sound I wanted, with the help of the band members he chose to appear on the song. I could not be happier with how this song turned out and I am proud to release it as my first release independently written song, as I have normally worked with co-writers in the past."
